The library will re open on January 19th.
A Westmeath library will close it's doors today for three months.
The Aidan Heavey Library in Athlone is set to close from today until January 19th for improvement works.
The completed project will allow public access outside regular hours through the ‘My Open Library’ scheme.
Library members will be able to borrow or return books, use PCs, and make use of study spaces.
The reopening date for the library is set for Monday, January 19th, 2026.
