A Westmeath mother is furious after her daughter was turned away from her driving test because her insurance disk was printed in black and white.
Marina Harte's daughter failed her test despite the insurance policy being valid and active.
The rule about the disc having to be printed in colour goes back to a statutory instrument from the 1980's - which states the disc must have a green strip.
Her daughter will now have to reapply and pay a further €85 to take the test for a third time.
