The facility was found to be compliant in the majority of areas examined.
A Westmeath nursing home has been found to be 'well managed' during an inspection by the health watchdog earlier this year.
Newbrook Nursing Home was found to be compliant or substantially compliant in 10 out of 13 areas by HIQA after their visit in July.
The Mullingar nursing home was found to be non-compliant in three areas after an unannounced inspection on July 18th this year.
Governance and management of the facility must be improved after HIQA found a number of care plans had not been updated to include recommendations made by specialist practitioners.
There was no action plan following on from a falls audit, while oversight of fire safety precautions did not ensure that fire policies and procedures were being consistently implemented.
Beyond these issues, the report finds that Newbrook Nursing Home has made improvements since the previous inspection in July of 2023.
Inspectors found most residents enjoyed a good quality of life at the centre.
Those residents that were interviewed said 'staff were wonderful', 'always willing to help' and 'always cheerful and smiling'.
They said they were 'comfortable', and that they 'enjoyed their meals' and that their care needs were well met in the centre.
