But the new millionaire has yet to come forward.
Mullingar is home to a new millionaire.
It's been revealed last Friday's Daily Million Lotto ticket - worth €1 million - was sold at Buckley's Centra in the Millmount Shopping Centre.
The winning Normal Play ticket was sold on the day of the draw and it's the biggest prize ever sold at the busy, family-run store.
Area Manager Eoin Kennedy was overjoyed to hear that one of their customers had a celebratory start to their weekend;
"We were thrilled to get the call over the weekend from the National Lottery. We have lots of local customers here in the town so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that someone nearby may have come into some good luck over the weekend.
"Friday night certainly is a nice time to win. I imagine there must have been great celebrations over the weekend. We have a team of 16 here in-store and as soon as news spreads, we know that there will be lots of excitement around the place.
"This is also the biggest prize that we have ever sold so it’s double celebrations here."
The National Lottery is urging Daily Million players in Westmeath to check their tickets carefully as the new Lotto millionaire has yet to come forward.
The winning ticket holders are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe.
They should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prizes.
