She's bringing home two of the three awards for which she was nominated.
Westmeath star Niamh Algar was one of the big winners at last night's vitural Irish Film and Television Awards.
The Mullingar woman came away with both Actress in a Leading Role for TV drama 'The Virtues' and Actress in a Supporting Role for Irish crime film 'Calm With Horses', after being short-listed in three categories.
There was also midlands interest in the Animated Short Film category.
Writer/director Jack O'Shea - who worked as part of the inaugural OFFline Animation Residency in Birr in 2018 - impressed the judges with 'The Dream Report'.
Thank you @IFTA for the awards, I'm absolutely blown away & so honoured to be amongst such incredible people who's talents I'm totally in awe of. Big shout out to the genius that is @sbaigcasting who cast both these projects and took a chance on me.🎉 #TheVirtues #calmwithhorses pic.twitter.com/lzWQS36aFv
