'The Choice' is a short film filmed and produced by TY students at Athlone Community College.
A group of TY Student filmmakers say they're shocked at the scale of illegal dumping around a Westmeath town.
'The Choice' was created by Athlone Community College students as part of their sustainablity class to raise awareness on the topic.
The film is directed by James Duffy and features several of his classmates.
The project, which is over ten minutes in length, also features headlines from stories about illegal dumping incidents across the Midlands, and commentary from Athlone councillor Aengus O'Rourke.
James says they were surprised by how much of an issue it is in the town:
