A state of emergency was declared in Lanzarote as 6cm of water fell in two hours on Saturday.
Hundreds of homes and roads on Lanzarote have been flooded, after torrential rainfall swept across the Canary Island.
No injuries have been reported by Spanish authorities as popular holiday destinations have filled with water.
Sandra Grogan, who is originally from Raharney and living in Puerto Del Carmen for 14 years, says the island's drainage system can't cope and there is now the issues of sewerage coming up on the streets:
