A midlands woman saved her best friends life in a paired kidney-swap programme.

Ballymore's Sheila Hanevy had been undergoing dialysis treatment for 19 years until her best friend Aine Cornally and her husband discovered a shared kidney exchange scheme in the UK.

The Westmeath women, who were born four minutes apart in the same hospital, spoke to Midlands 103's Ronan Berry about the process:
