Under the scheme, there will be a conservation project launched in the Slieve Blooms in a bid to protecting breeding Hen Harriers and increase wetland restoration opportunites.
While the Clara Bog will undergo further restoration works, with other smaller sites across Westmeath, Kildare, Galway, Roscommon, Longford, and Tipperary.
