The IDA is set to appoint a contractor for the development before the end of September.

Work on a 50,000 square foot advanced manufacturing plant in the midlands will get underway this year.

Longford-Westmeath TD Robert Troy says the new facility at the Marlinstown IDA Park will lead to significant job creation.

A contractor will be appointed by the IDA before the end of September, construction is scheduled to start shortly after.

Deputy Troy says the new plant will make Mullingar an ideal location for companies:
