That's the warning from an Offaly Councillor.
An Offaly Councillor believes the Midlands could be hit with more job losses during the just transition process.
Fianna Fail's Eamonn Dooley says the department for Climate Action and the Environment could now target the horticulture and fuels sectors following the closure of peat burning facilities in the Midlands.
It comes as Just Transition Commissioner Kieran Mulvey is set to take up his office in Tullamore in the new year.
Cllr Dooley says there could be further bad news on the horizon:
