Yellow Status Warning In Place For Part Of The Midlands

The region can expect heavy rain and risk of flooding.

Laois remains under a status yellow weather warning until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Heavy spells of persistent rain are affecting ten counties in total in Leinster and Munster.

Met Éireann is also warning that localised flooding is possible.

Offaly forecaster Cathal Nolan says the south midlands will get the heaviest rain, but the whole region can expect a cloudy and wet day:
