A Status Yellow alert for wind will take effect at 11am in Munster, where gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour are expected in places.
It's in effect until 3pm.
A similar warning will come into place for Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and the rest of Leinster at midday until 6pm - Connacht at 3pm until 6pm - and in Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan from 4pm until 9pm.
