Laois Man's Parents Proud To 'See Him Among Legends'

The Aussie Rules star is making his 264th appearance in the AFL today, tying the record for an Irish man in the AFL.

The parents of a Laois man say they're so 'proud' to 'see him amongst legends' as he equals the record for most appearances by an Irish player in the AFL. 

Aussie Rules star Zach Tuohy has matched the all-time appearance record for an Irish player in the AFL of 264.

The Portlaoise man tied the number of games set by the legendary Jim Stynes in a draw-game against Sydney Swans this morning.

The final score was 54-54.
