The agreement announced today follows months of negotiations.
A fifteen per cent tariff ceiling on pharmaceutical and semiconductor exports from the EU to the US has been confirmed in a joint statement.
It's the first time details of the deal reached between the trading partners late last month have been set out in writing.
It provides for 15 per cent tariffs on most goods exported to the US with a number of carve outs for certain sectors, such as aircrafts and aircraft parts.
