A Westmeath customs advisor is warning businesses to prepare for the EU's new steel regime.
New rules coming into effect in July are set to affect imports outside the bloc, and raise tariffs outside of a quota from 25% to 50%.
It's hoped the new rules will combat global overcapacity in production of the metal.
