There was a record breaking performance in the first round of the Laois Junior C football championship last night.
72 year old Rathdowney-Errill club chairman Tim Barry rolled back the years to fill in as goalkeeper for his side, who were a man short for the thirteen aside game.
Barry went on to concede just two goals in his 60 minute cameo, as his team ran out 8-8 to 2-2 winners against Annanough.
He was happy with his performance but isn't confident of retaining his spot in the next round:
