The Antrim man is to take time away from the game.
Antrim's Mark Allen is out of the World Snooker Championship.
He was beaten by Mark Selby on a scoreline of 13 frames to 7 in Sheffield last night.
In the wake of that defeat he has tweeted to say he will be taking time away from the game.
Undoubtedly my worst season for some time and it ends in a whimper. Time to step away from the game for a while and hopefully get some personal stuff sorted. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Best of luck to the 8 remaining players in this years world champs

At the table, the quarter finals are underway.
Anthony McGill faces Stuart Bingham and Neil Robertson meets Kyren Wilson.
Then this afternoon, Selby takes on Mark Williams and it's Judd Trump versus Shaun Murphy.
