The midlanders can win a first league title in the women's game with victory on Saturday.

Athlone Town's women's team manager believes his players are riding the crest of a wave ahead of a possible title winning weekend.

The midlanders lead the Premier Division by three points from Shelbourne ahead of the penultimate round of fixtures.

Athlone will claim their first ever league title in women's football if they secure victory over Bohemians thanks to their head to head record against Shels.
