The number of participating teams is also set to rise.
There'll be a couple of tweaks to the Offaly Senior Hurling Championship this year.
It's being increased to ten teams meaning Drumcullen and Kinnitty are both promoted from Senior 'B' with no team being relegated.
The truncated calendar at all levels has lead to the decision that there'll be no quarter-finals in 2021.
Instead the top two teams from each group of five will contest the semi-finals.
The teams involved are Kilcormac/Killoughey, St Rynagh's, Birr, Belmont, Shinrone, Ballinamere, Seir Kieran, Drumcullen, Kinnitty and Coolderry.
It wasn't a unanimous decision at the county board meeting with a couple of dissenting voices but ultimately it was decided that it was the best option for the upcoming season.
