The Midlanders open their National Cup campaign on Monday.
The Portlaoise Panthers womens team will begin their Paudie O'Connor National Cup drive on Monday evening.
They welcome Trinity Meteors to St. Mary's Sports Hall at eight o'clock in the opening round of the tournament.
The Midlanders were knocked out at this stage last year by Catalyst Fr. Matthews, and will be seeking to go further this year.
The Laois side currently sit two places behind next weeks opponents in the Super League, but this is unlikely to affect their preparation as anything can happen in the Cup competition.
