Defensive Headache For McCarthy Ahead Of Euro Qualifiers

Keogh and Duffy ruled out

Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy has a defensive headache on his hands for the Euro 2020 qualifiers in Georgia and Switzerland next month.

Richard Keogh's career looks in jeopardy after he injured his knee in a car crash following an alcohol related incident in the wake of a team night out.

He is set to be out for a year.

Shane Duffy is set to miss the games in Tbilisi and Geneva because of a calf injury, while Enda Stevens is banned for the first match.

Dublin rivals Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers go head to head in an FAI Cup semi final at Dalymount Park tonight.

7.45 is the start time.

That's also the kick off time for the meeting of Derry City and Cork City in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
