The mood in the Offaly camp has been on the decline for a number of weeks.
People leaving the panel early had it's psychological affects, according to Offaly manager Martin Murphy.
The Faithful's season came to an abrupt end on Saturday as they fell to a 1-22 to 2-14 defeat at home to Wexford in the preliminary quarter final in the Tailteann Cup.
It ends what has been a difficult few months for the Offaly panel after the death of manager Liam Kearns earlier in the year.
Wexford will now face Meath in the quarter-finals of the Tailteann Cup.
Murphy tells Brian Gavin that keeping lads together is the only way to secure continuity.
