Sunday's final was the 50th final in the history of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.
Three former All-Ireland winning captains from the midlands were honoured at Croke Park on Sunday at the All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship Final.
1979 winning captain, Doreen Daly (nee Farrell) and Tona McDonald from 1981 were recognised for captaining Offaly, while Angela Casey was honoured for captaining Laois to glory in 2001.
Last Sunday's final between Dublin and Kerry was the 50th in the history of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.
At half time the previous winning captains were introduced to Croke Park spectators in front of the Hogan Stand.
