Mick Lillis will be part of the coaching set up at Shamrocks.
Shamrocks have announced their management set-ups for 2022 and there's some very exciting names on board.
Brian Kelly will lead the footballers and has added an eye catching piece of expertise to his backroom team in the form of Mick Lillis.
The Clare native is a stalwart of Portlaosie GAA club and briefly played senior-intercounty football with the O'Moore County too.
He spent a year in charge of Laois between 2015/16, but resigned after a defeat to Clare in the qualifiers five years ago. He's been active on the club scene there in recent seasons.
Shamrocks are a club seemingly on the rise with a number of Offaly minors and U20s coming through the ranks and a very experienced core group to welcome them into the senior ranks.
There's another splash appointment ratified with the intermediate hurlers, with the news Daithi Regan will oversee them. His coaching team is yet to be confirmed.
They reached the final of the Leinster junior championship in 2021 and will be hopeful that can be a springboard to a better season within the county this year.
