Walsh defeated Yang Liu of China in the 65kg bout, while Joyce claimed a split decision win over Uzbek veteran Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov in the 55kg.
Today is a rest day for the boxers and the Irish trio will be in semi-final action over the weekend.
Joyce nearly missed out on his bronze medal fight after sustaining a double cut in the previous round.
The Mullingar man bounced back though to win over his Uzbekistan opponent yesterday with a 3-2 victory.
