The Offaly man was part of Luke Donald's team that regained the trophy after a 16 and a half to 11 and a half win over the USA in Rome.
Lowry only made the team as one of the captain's picks and thanked Donald for putting his faith in the 2019 Open winner.
Speaking afterwards, he said there were some nervy moments but the win was worth every second of tension:
Meanwhile the Ryder Cup in Adare Manor in 2027 is "a long term goal" for the Clara man.
