Clara's 2009 Irish Open champion has been left thinking about what might have been.
Shane Lowry is reflecting with some frustration on a poor third round that took him out of contention at the Irish Open over the weekend.
The Offaly man closed with a final round of 68 to move back into a tie for 12th yesterday on one under par.
Lowry was in prime position early on Saturday after picking up three consecutive birdies on the first three holes.
He played the remaining 16 holes in six over par.
The 2009 Irish Open Champion says nearly is no longer good enough for him.
He looks back on his weekend with Ashling O'Reilly:
At the top of the leaderboard there was more heartbreak for Rory McIlroy.
The Holywood golfer fell short of a play-off by one shot after a poor three-putt left him with a bogey on the 17th.
Denmark's Rasmus Hojgaard chipped in from off the green on two occassions to make an unlikely run to the title.
