Ireland Squad For Six Nations Announced

There's no place for Jack Carty despite his good form.

There's no place for Jack Carty in Ireland's Six Nations squad.

The Connacht out half has been overlooked in favour of Ulster's Billy Burns and Ross Byrne of Leinster. 

Robbie Henshaw is included and looks set to hold a starting place in the opening game with Wales.

There's no place for Jacob Stockdale, who is unavailable for the trip to Cardiff due to a knee injury but Johnny Sexton, Iain Henderson, Tadhg Furlong, Peter O’Mahony and James Lowe are all selected, despite injury concerns.

Two uncapped players are included, Ulster prop Tom' O Toole and Munster scrum-half Craig Casey.
