Many of the county's big names have already had a wobble in this year's competition.
It's all to play for in Group B of the Laois Senior Hurling Championship after the second round of games over the weekend.
Rathdowney Errill's draw with Portlaoise means that three of the four teams in the group can still qualify for the competition's semi-finals.
The game seemed to be heading the way of the underdog, but an injury time point from Ross King secured a 3-23 to 2-26 draw at full time.
The group's other game saw Camross recover from their opening round defeat to beat Castletown 1-17 to 1-13.
Group A in Laois has a more settled look to it, with Clough Ballacolla already guaranteed progress to the county-championship semi final.
They were seven point winners over the Harps on a final score-line of 1-22 to 1-15.
Last year's beaten finalists Abbeyleix got their first win, beating Rosenallis 3-16 to 0-22.
Both the Harps and Abbeyleix will move on to the quarter finals.
