Leinster GAA Announce Change In Fixture Details For Laois' Opening O'Byrne Cup Game

Another game in the schedule for this weekend has been cancelled.

There's been a venue change for Laois meeting with Wexford in the O'Byrne Cup this weekend.

Billy Sheehan's first outing as manager will now come in Hollymount, the home of Shelmaliers GAA Club on Saturday at 2pm.

It shouldn't throw up any logistical issues for the O'Moore County.

The news from Leinster GAA comes on the same day that another fixture has fallen foul of covid-19.

Saturday's O'Byrne Cup match between Wicklow and Meath has been postponed and is unlikely to be re-fixed.

The Garden County has been hit by injuries and members of their panel being deemed COVID close contacts.

It follows the McGrath Cup clash between Clare and Waterford being called off last weekend.
