The 2009 Irish Open champion will be looking to hit the headlines for his golf this week.
Shane Lowry heads into this week's Irish Open as a firm favourite to challenge for the country's most prestigous golf tournament.
The Clara man has just announced the end of his relationship with Kingspan following a recent report that branded the building products company as "dishonest" for their role in the Grenfell fire disaster.
He's been in good form throughout 2024, landing eight top 10 finishes, and going a remarkable 359 consecutive holes without a three putt.
Lowry also won the Zurich Classic with Rory McIlroy in April.
The Holywood golfer starts the tournament as the bookies favourite but has found consistency difficult to come by after a late collapse at the US Open in Pinehurst.
Lowry tees off at the Royal County Down Golf Course at 12.40pm tomorrow afternoon, he'll be playing with Mark Power and Robert McIntyre.
The 2009 Irish Open winner will be hoping for a repeat of these scenes on Sunday:
