Team Ireland took four medals at the European Cross Country Championships in Portugal yesterday.
Nick Griggs claimed gold in the individual under-23s event - and that also helped Ireland take team gold.
The senior men's team secured a silver medal, while Emma Hickey won bronze in the women's under-20s section.
Westmeath’s Jack O’Leary spearheaded the Irish effort with an impressive 5th-place finish, while Brian Fay also delivered a strong performance, finishing 10th.
Cormac Dalton, was just behind in 11th, with Darragh McElhinney in 16th and Efrem Gidey 19th.
Meanwhile, Danielle Donegan of ullamore Harriers was 36th, with Mary Mulhare from Portlaoise AC ending in 50th and Ava O'Connor finished 25th in the U23 Women's Race.
