Midlands County Finals Decided

Portlaoise, Ferbane and Garrycastle to advance to the next round.

Three football county finals were fought out in the midlands yesterday.

Portlaoise have made it three in a row in the Laois decider.

The club took the O Moore County decider by beating Killeshin on a scoreline of 14 points to 2-7.

In Offaly, Ferbane have clinched their first title in 25 years. 

They managed to see off Rhode with a 2-13 to 14 points win. 

Ferbane's Stephen Wren's says they kept cool under the pressure: 

Meanwhile in Westmeath, Garrycastle lifted the cup in the county final. 

St. Loman's went down on a scoreline of 2-13 to 3-6.
