Welsh Grand National the highlight
The Christmas Racing festivals continue today with top class action here at home at Leopardstown where an eight race cards gets underway at 12.05.
Limerick continues today with seven races there starting at a quarter past 12.
In the UK the big race of the day is the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow which will face the flag at 10 to 3.
There is also action at Kempton which starts at 12.45pm.
Yesterday was a day of surprises with the hotly fancied Laurina was well beaten by the Rachel Blackmore ridden Notebook in the Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown.
At Limerick Faugheen defied his age to storm home a 22 length winner in the big Novice Chase.
At Kempton Clan Des Obeaux won the King George VI Chase for the second year running beating a high class field at odds of 11/2 for trainer Paul Nicholls.
