Faith and belief are growing that O'Dempsey's can end a 42 year wait for a senior county football title.

The year they last lifted the Jack Delaney Cup, John Lennon was killed and Kerry were three All Ireland titles in to their ill-fated drive for five.

In the present day, save for a narrow defeat to Sunday's opponents, O'Dempsey's have been playing quality football and were handy 8 point winners over Courtwood in the semi final.
