The two midlands counties faced off in the first round of the Joe McDonagh Cup at the weekend.
Offaly came back from a difficult start against Laois to win their first round Joe McDonagh contest in Tullamore on Saturday.
Johnny Kelly’s side trailed Laois in the opening quarter thanks to a series of quickfire points from a Laois side that controlled the majority of the first period.
A much improved second half saw the home side edge in front and stay there until the final whistle to win on a final scoreline of 3-19 to 1-22.
Manager Johnny Kelly says he was happy to see more goals hit the back of the net:
Our coverage of Offaly against Laois is with thanks to Tullamore Carpets and Flooring and O’Brien’s Renault Mullingar.
