Offaly Rider In The Mix As Ras na mBan Comes To Laois

Ellen McDermott sits in fifth spot in the general classification.

Over 100 competitors in the Ras na Mban are rolling out of Portlaoise right now for stage 3 of this year's race.

The aciton will see the peleton move through Mountmellick, Mountrath and finish at the top of the cut in the Slieve Bloom Mountains.

Offaly's Ellen McDermott will be racing on her training roads today and is well positioned in the general classification, sitting in fifth spot.

The rain has been teeming down, as the Team Boompods rider speaks to Midlands 103's Kamron Clarke, she says that's not going to bother her:
