The Clonbullogue teenager is Ireland's first ever F2 race winner.
Alex Dunne has landed a first ever Formula Two victory for Ireland after securing his first win at World Championship level in Bahrain.
The McLaren junior driver made places off the start to settle in Sunday's feature race in second place behind championship leader, and F3 Champion, Luca Fornaroli.
The Offaly teen sensation shadowed the Italian until the seventh lap before making his move.
A DRS assisted overtake on the main straight put Dunne into control of the race for the first time.

He would retain that control throughout the pit stop window, and established a lead that Williams F1 prospect, Luke Browning couldn't reel in.
Dunne finished eight seconds clear of his British rival to ensure Amhrán na bhFiann was played out at this level for the very first time.

“Super happy with the win. I think the team did a mega job and the car was in the exact sweet spot. So I’m super, super happy and looking forward to Jeddah next week.”
