Republic Of Ireland's Euro 2020 Playoff With Slovakia Will Be Played On October 8th

Stephen Kenny's first game in charge of Ireland will come away to Bulgaria in the Nations League on September 3rd.

UEFA has confirmed that the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2020 playoff with Slovakia will be played on October 8th.

The subsequent final against either Northern Ireland or Bosnia-Herzegovina will take place on November 12th.

Meanwhile, Irish sides qualified for Europe face a tightrope walk.

All qualifiers - except the Champions League playoff round - will be single leg affairs, with the team drawn first given home advantage.

Dundalk will enter the Champions League at the first qualifying round stage on August 18th or 19th.

While Bohemians, Derry City and Shamrock Rovers enter the Europa League in the first qualifying round on August 27th.
