Response Needed From Laois To Ease Relegation Fears

There's a double header at O'Moore Park this weekend.

Mike Quirke will be looking for a response from his side against Cork this weekend.

The O'Moore county boss couldn't put his dismay at a meek effort against Clare into words.

Another defeat here and they'll be looking at a relegation scrap in the coming weeks.

Portlaoise clubman Kieran Lillis says the group still feel they can achieve something in the league.

There's a 7pm throw in on Saturday in O'Moore Park.

At the same venue on Sunday Brian Lohan brings his struggling Clare hurlers searching for a first win of 2021.

They've suffered back to back defeats against Antrim and Wexford.

Cheddar Plunkett's Laois are also winless in the league so far with losses to Dublin and Wexford.

A win would lift them above Clare in the Division 1B table.

It's a 3pm start on Sunday.
