Shane Lowry Struggles On Opening Day Of PGA Championship

He'll be hoping for better later this evening.

It was a disappointing start for Shane Lowry in the opening round of the PGA Championship yesterday in North Carolina.

The Clara man finished his round on a score of 73, to leave him on +2.

As a result the 38 year old is nine shots of Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas, who leads on the opening round on a score of -9 under par.

Lowry is back out for his second round later this evening, the Irish man is expected to take the course at just after 6 o'clock.
