The Camogie Association To hold a Special Congress Surrounding Skorts Controversy

It follows protests made across the country.

The Camogie Association says it will hold a Special Congress on May 22nd to consider the issue around whether players will be permitted to wear shorts while playing camogie.

It come after widespread protests across the country where players have expressed a desire for players to have the choice to wear shorts instead of skorts.

The Laois Intermediates demonstrated their own protest in their Leinster Semifinal win over Kilkenny last weekend, where start of play was held for up to 10 minutes.

Laois player Amy Collier says she expects more protests to take place until things change.

The O'Moore County take on Carlow in the Leinster Intermediate Final in two weeks time.
