Town battled back from 3-0 down to secure a draw.
"We never give up" is the message from Athlone Town manager Dario Castelo after his side's dramatic comeback in the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division on Friday night.
Athlone came from three down at half time to draw 3-3 in an epic derby with Longford Town.
Goals from Adan Wixted, Oisin Hand and Karl Chambers meant the visitors were cruising at the break.
However, a brace from Dean Ebbe followed by Jamal Ibrahim's 74th minute equaliser meant a share of the spoils, with Athlone now moving up to fifth in the First Division.
Castelo is full of praise for his team:
Town return to action against Cork City on Friday night in Turners Cross at 7.45pm.
