The O'Moore County manager had highlighted the meeting with Tom Mullally's side as being the first opportunity to see where his team stand.
The Joe McDonagh Champions were superior throughout last weekend's meeting in Portlaoise, leaving Laois under pressure for the remainder of the league season.
