Westmeath's champions are having a difficult campaign.
A six point win was a touch flattering but victory was very much deserved against the defending county champions in Westmeath, according to Coralstown-Kinnegad manager, Jack Cooney.
Cooney watched his side run out 1-12 to 1-6 winners over The Downs at TEG Cusack Park on Saturday.
That result vaults Coralstown-Kinnegad to the top of the section A table of the Westmeath Senior Football Championship while The Downs are rooted to the bottom with just one point from three games.
