23-year-old nursing student at TUS Athlone Michael O'Connell is the latest midlands feature on the show.
A Laois footballer is in the spotlight as he appeared on First Dates Ireland last night.
23-year-old, third-year nursing student at TUS Athlone Michael O'Connell is currently working in Tullamore Hospital, and say she only applied for the craic after encouragement from family.
He was paired with 22-year-old nursing student Jesse from Meath, who was hoping to meet a sporty partner she could introduce to her parents and bring on nights out.
He says despite having a lot in common with her they didn't work out but the experience was worth it:
