He had met with his former bandmate shortly before he passed away in October 2024.
Niall Horan has said he had to go "into hiding" following the death of Liam Payne.
The ex-One Directioner met with his former bandmate in South America shortly before he fell to his death from a hotel balcony.
Horan told GQ that their catch up was "great" and Liam seemed "in good form" at the time.
He said when he saw the news of Liam's passing he "didn't think it was real" and went from "shock to sadness to anger".
