Northern Ireland Out Of The Running To Host Eurovision

The UK's putting it on in 2023 after coming second behind Ukraine this year.

Belfast is out of the running to host the 2023 Eurovison song contest. 

However Birmingham, Glasgow and Leeds are among the cities to have made the shortlist, while Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield are also on the list. 

They'll now be assessed again to make sure the city is capable of hosting such a big event.

The UK's putting it on in 2023 after coming second behind Ukraine this year - Kyiv's unable to because of the war with Russia.
