The Westmeath band says it's to focus on their next album.
Westmeath's The Academic are postponing their upcoming UK and Europe tour.
In a statement on Instagram, the band say while they were 'incredibly excited to hit the road', they wanted to fully dedicate themselves to finishing their next album.
The tour was set to kick off at the end of next month in Cardiff.
New dates will be announced shortly, and fans are advised to hold onto tickets for those dates as they'll remain valid.
